We are delighted to feature Canadian producer Mathew Ferness for our 22nd FRi release. With an impressive track record on esteemed labels like Lisztomania, Closer To Truth, Fina, and his latest release on Dirt Crew Records, he is recognized for crafting a sophisticated breed of deep house. His music is emotionally charged, creating a fairytale-like atmosphere by skillfully blending orchestral sound samples with deep subby basslines and house beats-a blend that irresistibly echoes the sounds of the trip-hop era.
His four-track EP, 'My Feelings For You,' exudes a dreamy, surreal tint that permeates through every theme. Abundant orchestral string sections and occasional female vocal cuts add further lushness to heartwarming tunes like 'My Feelings For You' and 'Can't Get Over.' The same can be said for 'Soul's Mate' and 'Mistress,' where earworm melodies from flute and strings dominate.
