In a race to keep up with trends and cater to algorithms, artists may compromise authenticity, originality, and depth in their work. However, this release is not one of those cases because for this occasion, we bring an elevated degree of musicality delivered by Benjamin Long for the 16th EP release on Fri.
The EP titled "New Dark Jazzer" presents a stark contrast to the jazzier strains of deep house that have been emerging in the Deep House music scene over the past few years. Benjamin has meticulously infused his roots from jazz fusion into his productions, crafting his own unique spin on deep house.
"New Dark Jazzer" opens up with a jazzy broken beat rhythm, lush chords, and a captivating atmosphere, setting the mood for a kind of spiritual experience where music takes you to new places. Some may find the track reminiscent of the sounds found in LTJ Bukeem's Earth Compilation during the peak of the Good Looking era.
